Daisy’s Class Policies

Full payment is required to secure your spot in a class. We cannot hold or reserve spots. Each person who is planning to attend a class must purchase a seat.

Please be on time. Our classes begin at the time stated, so please arrive early to check in, use the bathroom, and get settled before we begin. We cannot accept students after 15 minutes of the class start time. If you are later than 15 minutes, we cannot offer you a refund or transfer of class credit for the missed class. No-shows forfeit any transfer of class credit.

There are NO refunds or transfers of credit given at any time for classes with guest instructors. If you cannot attend, your seat may be transferred to a friend with 72 hours notice and their full name and contact information. Transferring a class to a new name must be approved and confirmed with both Daisy’s Mercantile and the new student at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We require 72 hours minimum notice of cancellation or rescheduling before the start of your class in order to receive a credit to transfer to a different class. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. Sorry, we are unable to make exceptions. This ensures the teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations. In the case of illness or emergency, please notify us as soon as possible.

What To Expect

Daisy’s workshops and classes are designed with the beginner in mind. All supplies are included unless otherwise noted. (We will provide you with an apron, but) we recommend wearing casual clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in. We ask that you wear flat, comfortable shoes. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals. Please pull your long hair back. Unless local ordinances require, face masks are optional for employees or customers.

We take every measure to provide a completely safe environment during our classes. By signing up for a cooking or craft class, using our classroom for open work times, or for cooking-related events for yourself or your child, you acknowledge that cooking and craft making can involve using everyday cooking and baking ingredients, knives, or other sharp tools, use of an oven and/or stove, pots and pans, hand sewing needles, scissors, irons, pins, rotary cutters, and hot glue. You acknowledge all of these machines, tools, and supplies involve a risk of injury. You agree to release any liability from Daisy’s Mercantile, LLC, its owner, class instructors, and all employees regarding any claims of injury that could arise from your or your child’s participation in any class or event at Daisy’s Mercantile. You agree to seek medical treatment on your own terms and at your own expense for any injury or illness.

Allergy Disclaimer

Our cooking classroom uses nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, seafood, and other foods that may cause allergic reactions. Anyone with allergies will be entering the cooking classroom at your own risk; at no time can the cooking classroom be completely free of allergens. The student must notify Daisy’s Mercantile of any food allergies at registration. Please review the class menu and contact us with any questions or concerns at (link to email).

Age Requirements

Our classes are designed for ages 18 and up. Unless labeled as a kids or teens class or camp, all classes are intended for adults only. We have limited space and cannot accommodate additional infants, toddlers, or children for the class duration.

Alcoholic Beverages

Class participants (21 and older) may bring any wine or beer they would like to enjoy during class for personal consumption. Daisy’s Mercantile employees cannot open or serve beverages you bring into the kitchen. We cannot sell or distribute alcohol, and we uphold ABC regulations. No minor can drink, and we cannot have intoxicated students attending a class.
